This mobility scooter and health aids business was set up by the founder and his wife using £250 from their joint credit card. The couple, who had no experience of the sector, made a leap of faith and within their fourth year of trading were achieving sales of £400,000 per month and making substantial profits.
Priding itself on quality merchandise and unparalleled customer care, the company employed a national network of commission-only salesmen who serviced leads gained by direct advertising.
As the business grew and achieved industry recognition, the owners secured an exclusive UK distribution agreement to sell and service one of Europe’s foremost brands.
When the business was placed on the market, it generated huge interest and there were a number of substantial offers. The eventual purchaser was a private individual who was looking for a new venture after selling a large business.
Unfortunately, during the final legal due process our client was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Once advised, Business Partnership took complete control and ensured that the deal was completed with minimal involvement from the vendor and his family. Sadly our client passed away within three weeks of completion.
