This well established motor component distributor was put on the market in 2015 due to the owner wishing to retire.
The owner, who started trading in 1985 and incorporated three years later, still controlled the day to day running of the business, which achieved approximately 34 per cent of turnover through exports outside the UK and Channel Islands.
Average sales for the last three years were £1.231 million and sales for the year ending February 28 2011 were recorded as £1.223 million, which produced a gross margin of £485,000 after purchases, carriage and customs clearances.
Components were sourced from the UK, Europe, USA and the Far East with many being repackaged and supplied to a loyal customer base comprising small owner-run businesses and larger private limited companies.
The business could easily be relocated anywhere in the UK, allowing for the necessary TUPE considerations, which in turn would bring considerable savings on rent costs.
